Indiana Jones and the Dark Island was to be a fanfilm since it started as an idea in 2007, but the project was finally abandoned in 2011. Pity, because the whole pre-production was complete by then. The script on one hand, the materials and wardrobe on the other, everything was ready to start shooting the principal photography. Unfortunately, the project was dropped and all the material sold. What a pity! But the thing was too ambitious, really.

Ok. So what was this movie to be? What was the story about? I can tell you it was to be a long video-film, of about 90 minutes. The script was of 73 pages, and the action happened in 1942, going through a context of the immediate consequences of the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) in Barcelona, and also the Pacific theater of operations (1941-1945) where a mysterious island was to be found. I'm sorry, but I can't share anything else in the script, nor the document itself, for the obvious reason that I wouldn't want the story stolen by any other fan-film makers. Anyway, the film was to be a little present for George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, Harrison Ford and the whole cast and crew of the Indiana Jones movies, at the time also thanking them for delivering a fourth Indiana Jones movie (2008). That's all about there is to say about our cancelled project of an Indy fanfilm. Thank you anyway!
